Now Manage Meta Ads Directly from Claude AI and ChatGPT

With the launch of Meta’s Meta Ads AI Connectors on April 29, 2026, advertisers can now create, oversee, and evaluate Meta ad campaigns directly from third-party AI technologies like ChatGPT and Claude. This is one of the biggest developments in digital advertising workflow in recent years, and you should pay particular attention to it whether you’re an agency managing dozens of accounts or a lone marketer.

What Are Meta Ads AI Connectors?

An advertising MCP server and an ads CLI, both of which are in open beta, are among the connections. To offer a safe, meta-authenticated link to campaign data, they employ the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

To put it simply, MCP is a universal bridge that enables AI tools to communicate with external platforms. The open standard known as MCP enables AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, and others to access and utilize external APIs, which are the internal components of products like Meta Ads. You can now ask your AI assistant what you want to know, and it will retrieve real-time data straight from your account, saving you the trouble of entering into Ads Manager, navigating menus, and manually pulling reports.

No Coding Required

This launch’s accessibility is one of its main selling features. After connecting via a typical login process, advertisers can use their AI tool’s natural-language commands to manage campaigns, retrieve information, and perform diagnostics without the need for coding or API setup.

Advertisers can use their Meta account to log in and paste mcp.facebook.com/ads as a “CustomConnector” to get started. In this phase, the advertiser’s ad account is instantly connected to the AI tool without the need for extra configuration. It doesn’t require any technical expertise, developer tokens, or third-party middleware.

What Can You Actually Do with It?

The features are much more than just data viewing. Through natural language commands, users will be able to activate Meta’s AI connectors, which will provide improved campaign performance reporting and more Meta ad management capability.

Here are some real examples of what you can ask your AI assistant once connected:

  • Show me my best-performing campaigns over the previous 14 days based on ROAS.
  • Every batch of ads with a frequency higher than four should be paused.
  • My best campaign’s budget should be increased by 20%, however it should not exceed ₹40,000 every day.
  • Examine my product catalog and mark any SKUs that have damaged photos.

Thanks to the connectors, advertisers may create product catalogs, upload product data, and identify issues with data feeds using the same AI-driven workflow. Additionally, signal diagnostics allow advertisers to assess the health and quality of their tracking signals.

Two Paths: MCP Server or CLI

You paste a URL into Claude Desktop or ChatGPT to access the HTTP-based MCP server. The majority of marketers choose this one. For developers or Claude Code, the CLI is a local terminal binary. Do not open a terminal if you have not already.

The MCP server path is the best option for the majority of marketing teams and advertisers. It is simple, compatible with any MCP-compatible AI tool, and officially endorsed by Meta.

Why This Matters for Advertisers

Managing campaigns on Meta can become complex and time-consuming, especially at scale. That’s where AI tools like Claude AI and ChatGPT make a real difference. Industry leaders such as Alan Carroll highlight that AI significantly improves productivity—more than many advertisers expect. Similarly, Abby Doeden notes that AI integrations act as powerful time-savers, helping teams scale faster, test creatives quickly, and deliver more personalized campaigns in real time.

For agencies, the benefits are even more pronounced. With AI-driven campaign audits and optimization workflows, smaller teams can handle a much larger client base. In some cases, agencies have expanded from managing just a handful of accounts to dozens—without increasing headcount—simply by leveraging automation and smarter insights.

Getting Started

Businesses of all sizes can use the connection, which is presently in open beta. The setup time for both Claude and ChatGPT is less than fifteen minutes, and the time you save each week after that will make it well worth it.
